You may have seen or heard a Press Release recently regarding Finley Regional Care and Berrigan Shire being awarded $1.25m Federal grant towards the second stage of Finley’s Alumuna Active Independent Retirement Village. This grant will be matched by Finley Regional Care and will go towards four more independent living units, six one-bedroom apartments and infrastructure for 14 blocks. This next stage will be commencing soon. This is a really important development, allowing us to provide low-cost, affordable housing to seniors in Finley.
The units will provide residents with independent living in maintenance-free, safe accomodation in a caring community – meaning our older citizens can be cared for in their own home as long as they wish to be there. We are very excited and thankful to the Federal Government for this grant, which will certainly enable us to progress the second stage of Alumuna faster than first anticipated.
If you or someone you know would like to learn more about Alumuna, please contact Zoe Caspar, Accomodation Coordinator, on 02 5504 6508.
