Winter is now well and truly here, iced up cars are needing to be hosed down regularly and a white tinge is visible on the grass. The good news story of the month is that our gentlemen who have been attending the Finley Men’s Shed, have finally finished their first lot of wild bird houses, which look great. A very big thank you to Craig for everything he does; he is so patient and is amazing with our men. And a big thank you to Wayne and Nini, who have sponsored the rejuvenation of our fish tank. We finally have fish back in it and it looks great and will provide hours of enjoyment to both residents and staff.
This month we celebrated the King’s birthday with a public holiday, and all the regular activities continue to happen: exercise, bingo, cinema, active games, church services, virtual reality, tovertafel, social club, singalong, plus entertainment from Ray McCartney and Paul Vitullo, just to name a few. The lifestyle team continue to find new and entertaining activities for our residents to try, and we are more than happy to hear any suggestions you may have – just pop in to see us.
